Pre-Operation Update #4 (last one)

Today is Saturday March 9, 2019 and I go in for my bypass surgery this Tuesday March 12th.

My weight is down under 190 lbs for the first time in close to 40 years. I’m losing muscle which is ok it will come back. In fact I’m looking forward to getting back in the gym with renewed energy and building my body back up from the inside out.

Pay Attention To Your Warning Signs.

Looking back when I was short of breath it was my heart all along but I always thought I needed to do more cardio and then when I did I felt awful.

What I thought was anxiety the last few years turned out to be coronary artery disease. I would get a tightness in my chest and I would have trouble breathing.

My cardiologist called this the “widow maker” because there are few if any warning signs.

I don’t like to do shirt of pictures but through this process I thought it would be beneficial so this is what I look like today. I have’t worked out in a couple of months and even before that, for the last 2 or 3 years my workouts have gotten less and less intense. To the point where I would walk in the gym, do a few sets and then just walk around hoping to get some energy.  Energy that never came.

I will do progress pics and videos during my recovery and I will also document my nutrition and exercise.
